Ellie Darkwah has landed her first Big Girl TV Job. Unfortunately, it mainly involves fetching lunch for a hostile chorus of gammony misogynists. Living the dream? She's regularly crying in the closest thing her office has to a closet. Which, for an undercover bisexual, is kind of triggering.

Enter rising comedian Rick, apparently the only straight white man in TV who doesn't suck. Despite their age gap and occasional cultural differences they form a ride-or die friendship, ignoring the raised eyebrows of colleagues.

So what if Rick's quirks get a touch more... problematic once fame hits?

When sordid skeletons start emerging in the entertainment industry, she's suddenly being asked hard questions about Rick, now a household name and nationally recognised 'good guy'.

The past may be messy, but Ellie would never turn a blind eye to an actual bad man. Especially one just under her nose...
